He was born in Murcia (Spain), in 1989, where he began to play viola in “Conservatorio Profesional de Música”. He took lessons there from Joaquín Toledo and Antonio Clares.
He has participated in orchestras such as “Orquesta Presjovem”, “L’Incontro Fortunato”, and the young orchestras “Sinfónica Juvenil Teresa Carreño” and “Simón Bolívar” from Venezuela. Also, he has played in “Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia”, “Orquestra de Cadaqués” and “BandArt”, conducted by Gordan Nikolic.
He has been member of “Orquesta de Jóvenes de la Región de Murcia”, and he joined “Joven Orquesta Nacional de España” three years ago.
He has played several times as a soloist; he has been accompanied by “Orquesta de Cámara de Cartagena”, “Orquesta Sinfónica del Conservatorio Profesional de Murcia”, and “Orquesta de Jóvenes Solistas de Moscú”.
He participated in many activities, like the Ancient Music Festival “il Estilo Classico” in Verona, Italy (2005), “Festival Internacional de Música de Lucena – Presjovem” in Córdoba, Spain (2007, 2009 and 2011), the “Summit Music Festival” in New York, USA (2008), where he got a prize for an “Outstanding Performance” in Chamber Music, and the “International Chamber Music Campus of Jeneusses Musicales” in Weikersheim, Germany (2010), where he took lessons from Heime Muller and Cuarteto Casals.
He received lessons from several professors like Ashan Pillai, Yoram Youngerman, Karen Richster, Ettore Causa, Patinka Kopec (Assistant Professor of Pinchas Zukerman in “Manhattan School of Music”, New York), Pauline Sachse (Professor in “Hanns Eisler”, Berlin), Tatjana Masurenko (Professor in “Hochschule für Musik und Theater von Leipzig”), and Alejandro Garrido.
He recently graduated in “Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco, Musikene”, where he took lessons from David Quiggle and Natasha Tchitch.
He went on with his studies at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, in Limerick (Ireland), where he learnt with Bruno Giuranna.
Miguel is currently doing a Master's Degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London on a full scholarship, where he studies with Krzyzstof Chorzelski, violist of the Becea Quartet.
